The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development, in collaboration with Real People Concept, is set to host the North Central Cattle, Sheep and Goat Farmers Day Out and Exhibition on December 5 and 6, 2025, at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The two-day event, themed “From Vision to Action: Strengthening Nigeria’s Cattle, Sheep and Goat Value Chain,” aims to bring together livestock farmers, investors, processors, innovators, and value-chain stakeholders from across the North Central region and beyond. It will focus on practical strategies for boosting productivity, improving animal health, reducing losses, and advancing sustainable livestock development.

Speaking ahead of the programme, Mr. Idris Ajimobi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development, said the Farmers Day Out would serve as a platform for learning, collaboration, and market expansion within the livestock ecosystem.

According to him, the event will feature exhibitions of cattle, sheep and goat breeds, livestock inputs, feeds, equipment, veterinary services, and innovative solutions designed to support the sector’s growth.

A major highlight will be the Grand Finale of the SSAP Youth Livestock Innovation Challenge, where finalists from across Nigeria will present transformative ideas aimed at modernizing the national livestock value chain. The challenge seeks to identify and support youth-driven solutions that can improve production efficiency, strengthen supply systems, and advance national food security.

The exhibition will open daily at 9:00am, offering opportunities for networking, product displays, technical sessions, and stakeholder engagement.

Farmers, ranchers, pastoralists, investors, agri-tech innovators, and the general public are encouraged to register via the link provided on the official event flyer.

For sponsorship, exhibition opportunities, or enquiries, interested participants may contact Tunmise Olagbaju at +234 803 678 6457.

The organisers affirm that the event will not only celebrate the contributions of livestock farmers but will also drive meaningful action toward strengthening Nigeria’s cattle, sheep and goat value chains for economic growth and national development.
