CEOAFRICA has joined the Nigerian pharmaceutical community and global well-wishers in celebrating Pharm. (Sir) Anthony Akhimien, FPSN, former President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), as he marks his 70th birthday—his Platinum Jubilee.
Pharm. Akhimien, widely respected for his unwavering commitment to advancing pharmacy practice in Nigeria, is celebrated today not only for his milestone age but for a lifetime defined by leadership, advocacy, and service. From his tenure as PSN President to his continued contributions across industry, policy, and professional development, he remains a towering figure whose influence still shapes the sector.
In a goodwill message, the MD/CEO of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, described Sir Akhimien as “a rare professional whose footprints in the pharmaceutical world continue to illuminate the path for younger generations.”
He added: “As Pharm. Akhimien marks his 70th birthday, we celebrate a statesman who has never stopped believing in the promise of the profession. He has always maintained that there is hope for pharmacy in Nigeria—if pharmacists work together, honour their calling, and remain united in purpose.”
