Chief (Pharm.) Kenneth Chinedu Onuegbu, the Aare Apogundoro of Oluyole, Ibadan, and immediate past National Chairman of the National Association of Industrial Pharmacists (NAIP), will be conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Amaigbo community in Imo State.
The traditional ruler of Amaigbo, His Royal Highness, Eze Nelson Nwosu, the Igbo of Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, will perform the conferment, installing Chief Onuegbu as “Ihe Oma Eji Amatu of Amaigbo.”
The ceremony is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. prompt in Amaigbo, after which a reception will take place at Chief Ken Onuegbu’s compound in Umukabia, Amaigbo.
Chief Onuegbu is a seasoned pharmacist and respected professional leader whose career spans decades of service in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector. He previously served as National Chairman of NAIP, where he was noted for his commitment to professional development, industry collaboration, and capacity building.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chief Onuegbu is widely regarded within the Amaigbo community as a man of integrity whose goodwill, community support, and contributions to societal development have earned him admiration and respect, prompting the decision to bestow the chieftaincy title on him.
The event is expected to attract traditional rulers, professionals, colleagues, associates, and well-wishers from across the country, as Amaigbo community honours a distinguished son and ally whose impact transcends professional boundaries.
