The Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP) is gearing up to host its 2026 Economic Outlook and CEOs Forum, a high-level policy and industry engagement aimed at reshaping conversations around Nigeria’s health security, local pharmaceutical production, and economic resilience.
The forum, themed “Reimagining Nigeria’s Health Security: Local Production, Economic Sovereignty & Strategic Partnership,” is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, commencing at 9:00 a.m., with a closing dinner slated for 6:00 p.m.
The 2026 edition of the NAIP Economic Outlook & CEOs Forum is expected to convene key decision-makers from government, industry, finance, academia, and traditional institutions to interrogate Nigeria’s pharmaceutical and health security landscape amid global supply chain disruptions, currency volatility, and growing calls for local manufacturing and self-reliance.
According to NAIP, the forum will provide a strategic platform for evidence-based dialogue on strengthening domestic pharmaceutical production, leveraging public–private partnerships, and positioning Nigeria as a competitive player in the African health value chain.
The event will feature His Royal Highness, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, CON, PhD (London), Emir of Kano, as the Keynote Speaker, bringing his widely respected economic and policy insight to bear on the intersection of health security, industrial development, and national sovereignty.
Chairing the forum will be His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, CFR, mni, Obi of Onitsha (Agbogidi), while the Chairman of the Closing Dinner will be His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, underscoring the forum’s blend of policy depth, industry leadership, and national unity.
The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharm. Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim, will serve as Chief Host, with the National Chairman of NAIP, Pharm. (Sir) Bankole Aminu Ezebuilo, hosting the event. The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee (CPC) is Dr. Amen Eghomwanre.
Speaking ahead of the forum, Pharm. (Sir) Bankole Aminu described the 2026 Economic Outlook & CEOs Forum as a timely intervention in Nigeria’s development trajectory.

According to him, the forum's theme represents “a powerful call to reimagine our national priorities and delibrately build the alliances required to secure a healthier, more self-reliant Nigeria.”
Ezebuilo added that NAIP is "deeply privileged to welcome eminent national and traditional leaders whose presence underscores the sgnificance of this forum," noting that the gathering will serve as a platform to "unlock new partnerships, inspire bold thinking, and chart a visionary pathway for Nigeria's health security, pharmaceutical growth, and economic resillience in 2026 and beyond"
He emphasized that NAIP remains committed to championing policies that support industrial pharmacists, encourage innovation, and promote sustainable local manufacturing capable of meeting Nigeria’s healthcare needs and competing regionally.
The 2026 NAIP Economic Outlook & CEOs Forum is expected to produce strategic insights and collaborative pathways that will inform policy direction, guide private sector investment, and reinforce Nigeria’s pursuit of a resilient, self-sustaining health sector anchored on local capacity and strategic alliances.
