The Department of Zoology at the Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan is honored to host the Exaugural /Valedictory lecture of a remarkable Professor Adesola Adebolade Hassan,a distinguished Professor of Environmental Parasitology who has provided critical information on Helminth parasite infection status particularly among school-aged children in Nigeria. This significant event will take place on Friday, 06 February 2026, at 10am in Trenchard Hall, University of lbadan.

The topic of Professor Hassan's lecture is titled "Outlook of a Parasitologist in Gown; Odds against Parasites Survival: My voyage and Perspectives'," promises to be a captivating exploration of the curious relationship between humans and parasites through the lens of her personal experiences.
