Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly left Saudi Arabia overnight as security concerns escalate in the Middle East.
According to reports, the 41-year-old forward departed Riyadh aboard his £61 million ($81 million) Bombardier Global Express 6500 private jet. The journey to Madrid took nearly seven hours, flying over Egypt and the Mediterranean, with the aircraft landing in the Spanish capital shortly before 1 a.m. local time.
Riyadh, where Ronaldo lives with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children, has been among cities reportedly targeted in retaliatory strikes by Iran following recent U.S. and Israeli operations. State media from Iran also claimed that a command building in Bahrain was destroyed, while two drones reportedly struck the U.S. embassy in Riyadh overnight.
As tensions heighten, foreign nationals have begun leaving parts of the region. The U.S. State Department has urged Americans to evacuate more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries, and several flights to Riyadh were reportedly diverted overnight.
Ronaldo acquired the luxury Bombardier jet in 2024 after selling his Gulfstream G200. The all-black aircraft, which can carry up to 15 passengers, features multiple living areas including a lounge, bedroom suite, and private shower, and is customised with Ronaldo’s CR7 branding.
The Portuguese forward, currently sidelined with injury, earns reportedly £488,000 per day at Al-Nassr. There has been no official statement from Ronaldo or his representatives regarding the purpose of the flight.
