IBADAN SEC. SCHOOLS UNDER TERROR AS PRINCIPAL WAS DICOVERED DEAD IN A GUTTER

Mr Segun Dare, the principal of Ijokodo Junior Secondary School 1, Ibadan, Oyo State, was found dead along the street to his home at Citaga area, Sango-Eleyele road, several hours after he left home.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that Mr. Dare left home in the evening of Tuesday but was discovered face down in a gutter the following day, with his mobile handset in his pocket while a polythene bag containing soup ingredients like fish and pepper was also found beside him.

According to the report Mr. Dare who promised he was returning home when he did not succeed with what he went out for that evening, did not come back home that day.

The wife of the deceased said a strange voice which stated that the husband was busy told her off the phone when she called, but that the voice returned later that she could then call which by then the call went but unanswered.

The wife reported to have raised a search party which went round without locating the principal until following morning when his body was discovered.

There had been however speculations that Mr. Dare was probably killed by some hoodlums who was pursued some weeks before for always smoking Indian hemp in the school compound.

CEOAFRICA news desk further gathered that some hoodlums came back to the school and disrupted the examination on the final day, which the school was also said to have written a letter to the Ministry of Education to intimate the authorities of the disruption of the examination.


the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor When contactedby CEOAFRICA personnel said that it’s a case of sudden and unnatural death and that investigations are still on to determine the background of the dead.
