The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of results for the 2026 First Series of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.

The announcement was made on Friday via a statement shared on the council’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. According to WAEC, candidates who participated in the examination will be able to access their results within 12 hours of the release.

The council noted that the swift processing and publication of the results underscore its ongoing commitment to enhancing service delivery through the integration of technology and more efficient examination processes.

WAEC also expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the successful conduct of the examination.

“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series, has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours. Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat,” the statement read.
