Chibuzor Chinyere, the general overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), says Aboy, his adopted autistic son, has tied the knot – days after his controversial marriage proposal.
The controversy erupted last week when the cleric offered significant financial incentives to any woman willing to marry Aboy.
Chinyere had said the prospective wife could be a single mother or an older woman, but stipulated that she “must not be autistic”.
The proposal triggered widespread backlash, with critics condemning the move as transactional and insensitive.
Following the outrage, the cleric issued a public apology to women, explaining that his actions were driven by concern for Aboy, whom he said cannot speak or fully understand his physical development, particularly his emerging sexual urges.
However, in a new development, Chinyere announced that Aboy got married on Sunday.
Sharing photos from the ceremony via his Facebook page, the OPM founder revealed that the bride is a “single woman of God”.
He added that the union came with several incentives, including a N10 million wedding gift, a free house, an overseas vacation and a promise of N20 million after 10 years if Aboy is still alive.
The cleric also revealed that the boy was not eating without help, and he believed that in six months, God would “heal him”, and Aboy would finally be able to talk.
“Aboy Chibuzor finally marries today, March 29, 2026. A single woman of God. N10 million wedding gift, free house, overseas vacation, and N20 million after 10 years if Aboy is still alive. And many more gifts loading,” he wrote.
“A member of OPM church also donated N1 million and another donated N200,000.
“And miracle has already started as Aboy is now feeding himself without someone feeding him. And I believe before six months God will heal him and he will begin to speak. There is nothing God cannot do.”
In a subsequent post, Chinyere also revealed that Aboy’s wife is a “single mother of three” and not a “virgin”.
“Point of correction, Aboy Chibuzor’s wife is a single mother of 3 and not a virgin. She is also a woman of God,” he wrote.
