The Senate upper chamber has declared that the recent mission of Senator Hope Uzodinma to Taraba State was not a Senate affair distancing itself from the political crisis rocking the state.

CEOAFRICA news gathered that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information, Media and Public Affairs, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe made this clarification in a statement on Friday.

Senator Enyinnaya alleged that Senator Uzodimma’s mission in Taraba State was rather a PDP assignment at the order of the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

It was earlier noted that Senator Uzodinma had led a delegation of some senators and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on a peace mission to the state on account of the controversies generated by the return of the ailing Governor Danbaba Suntai.

The resolution now established that the chamber is not behind this Senator Uzodimma-led mission in which the delegate resolved that the Taraba State governor is unfit and  not in a good state to govern the state.
