15 Killed in Somalia Bomb Blast

Deadly bomb explosion which happened few hours ago at a popular restaurant near the parliamentary building in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, has claimed 15 lives.

According to what CEOAFRICA.com gathered from sources, the restaurant is popular with government workers and journalists and has been targeted before. Also, it was disclosed that the restaurant was busy with normal activities when the blast occur.

Also, local reports suggest a car bomb was detonated outside the restaurant, and that a suicide bomber then blew himself up among the crowd that gathered at the scene. The Village where the incident happened is few miles away from the presidential palace and it belongs to a Somali businessman Ahmed Jama, who returned to the country from UK in 2008.

The owner of the restaurant, while reacting to the incident said, "My decision was to do something and as long as I live, I will continue - I'm a business guy with restaurants and I'm going to continue with that."

Up till the time of gathering this report, no one has claimed to be responsible for the blast
