An Abuja High Court sitting in Apo has ordered the final forfeiture of billions of naira worth of assets linked to businesswoman Aisha Achimugu to the Federal Government.
Delivering judgment on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Justice Jude Onwugbuzie granted an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), approving the permanent forfeiture of the assets following legal proceedings initiated by the anti-graft agency.
The assets ordered forfeited include jewellery valued at N4.645 billion, 11 exotic vehicles worth N4.293 billion, $50,000 in cash, and an additional N30 million in cash.
The EFCC had urged the court to make the interim forfeiture order absolute, arguing that the properties should be permanently transferred to the Federal Government.
Justice Onwugbuzie upheld the commission’s application, directing that the high-value assets and cash holdings linked to Achimugu be finally forfeited to the Federal Government.
The judgment brings to a close the forfeiture proceedings involving the luxury items and cash, which had previously been the subject of investigation and court action.
Details of the decision were contained in the ruling delivered by Justice Onwugbuzie on Thursday.
