Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali enjoyed a dream return to Chippa United, helping the South African club lift the Eastern Cape pre-season tournament.

The Chilli Boys booked their place in the final with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ravens FC in the semi-finals. They then defeated Highbury FC 4-2 on penalties after regulation time ended 1-1 to claim the title.

Nwabali recently rejoined Chippa United after returning to the South African Premier League side five months after ending his previous spell with the club.

The Nigerian international is expected to reclaim the club's first-choice goalkeeper position as Chippa United continue preparations for the 2026/27 season.
