Oyo State Governor and the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate for the 2027 election, Seyi Makinde, is set to inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council on Friday.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, the inauguration ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Ibadan.

The statement announced that the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, has been appointed as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.

Also appointed is former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Saheed Arowosaye, who will serve as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Demola Ojo, has been named Deputy Director-General for Oyo South Senatorial District, while Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal will oversee campaign activities in Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts as Deputy Directors-General.

Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo will head the Women’s Wing as Director, while former Special Assistant (Youth) to Governor Makinde, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, has been appointed Director of the Youth Wing.

The statement added that more members of the campaign council would be unveiled in the coming days as preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum.
