NIGERIA POLICE ADOPTS IMPROVED MEASURES TOWARDS CRIME COMBAT

The Sokoto State Police Command reported to have adopted “stringent security measures” that will pay off in the arrest of the groups that uses motorcycle to rob the Petrol Filling Stations in Sokoto.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered according to the report from Sokoto Command, that effective operational order on the exercise had been issued to the officers and men of the command across the state.

The State Police Commissioner, Alhaji Shaibu Gambo, who revealed this feat, also said that security personnel on plain cloth had been deployed within the metropolis and its environs to ensure success of the strategy.

He also called on security men and petrol attendants to be security conscious while discharging their official duties, noting that filling stations should not be a place for parking cars or waiting for passengers as it gives room for criminals to operation.

Alhaji Gambo as well called on the public to assist the command with intelligence reports that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of criminals in state.

He however reassured that the command would continue to initiate various forms of security strategies that would enable the people to conduct their normal activities without any hindrance.
