At least four countries have secured places in the quarter-final stage of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.

Brazil, South Korea, Spain and Italy booked their places in the last eight following their respective Round of 16 victories.

Brazil defeated the United States on penalties after both sides played out a 1-1 draw in Wednesday’s encounter.

South Korea also secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Argentina, while Spain defeated Portugal 2-0 to advance.

Italy completed the quartet after edging China 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time.

The remaining Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled to be played later today, with the other quarter-finalists expected to emerge thereafter.
