The River State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Felix Obuah has called on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party to expel Governor Rotimi Amaechi and six other governors from the party.

CEOAFRICA gathered that Obuah who spoke after a meeting of the state chairmen of the party in Abuja on Monday, made this call, stating that the spirit and soul of the aggrieved governors had already left the PDP.

Among the six governors were: Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido; Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko; Governor of Kano State, Mr. Rabiu Kwankwanso; Niger State Governor, Aliyu Babangida; and the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed.

According to the report, Obuah alleged that the dissenting governors, who he described as “dissidents” were secretly funding the opposition, stressing that the best option was for the national leadership to expel them from the party.

“If I were to be the national chairman of the party, I would have expelled them because even the Bible tells us to chop off any finger that is troubling us. Day and night, they dine and wine with the opposition and they still claim to be in PDP. They should be out of the party,” He said.
