Member of a four-man armed robbery gang that has been terrorizing people at the Nkpor Flyover axis and environs, Idemili North Local Government Area, was arrested by the police while trying to rob a customer.

Narrating the incidence, the victim stated that while she was leaving the bank, the robber walked up to her and ordered her to surrender the money, which she just cashed from the bank.

She stated that she obeyed without hesitation having seen the gun.

While the attempted to bolt away, the victim raised the alarm, thereby attracting the attention of bank security operatives, which arrested him.

On seeing that their accomplice has been arrested, his gang members numbering about three started shooting into the air in a desperate move to frighten the security operatives to release him.

Policemen attached to the bank, however, responded immediately, while traders within the axis scampered for safety.

The robber, who was finally arrested was forced into a waiting van and whisked away to an unknown destination by the police while his members escaped.
