ANTI-CORRUPTION NETWORK THREATENS TO PROTEST OVER THE LINGERING ASUU STRIKE

The Anti-Corruption Network, have threaten to mobilize Nigerians against the Federal Ministry of Education if the Federal Government do not respond to the striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities within the space of one week.

The civil rights organization has in their expression of disappointed at government’s lukewarm attitude to the plight of students, suggested that President GoodLuck Jonathan should take loan to offset the N92bn being demanded by ASUU.

The Executive Secretary of the Group, Dino Melaye has allegedly said that the government’s attitude showed that it had no interest in the future of Nigerian students.

Part of the statement reads “By Friday next week, if the Federal Government refuses to resolve the ASUU crisis, we will protest to the Federal Ministry of Education where we will register our anger against an insensitive government.”
