The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested a 32-year-old undergraduate for ingesting 25 wraps of male condoms filled with cocaine.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that Chizoba Nwabuwa was arrested at the newly upgraded Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu State.

Speaking about the incident, Head of NDLEA, Enugu Airport Command, Mr. Nsikak-Abasi Udoh, told journalists that this is the first drug seizure to be made at the airport.

“The suspect excreted 25 wraps of a liquid substance that tested positive for cocaine, weighing 1.250kg. This is the first drug seizure to be made at the airport; it is exciting because we have just commenced operations.”

Meanwhile, Nwabuwa, who claimed to be a 400 level student of Fine and Applied Arts at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State said, “I wanted to use the N500, 000 they promised to pay me in developing my art gallery. They assured me in Brazil that authorities will not be able to detect liquid cocaine, so I was confident.”
