Moses in Action for Liverpool FC
Victor Moses made his much awaited debut for English Premiership side, Liverpool yesterday and scored a goal against Swansea City, CEOAFRICA sports desk gathered.
The Super Eagles attacker, who is on a season-long loan from Chelsea, got the second goal for Liverpool in the encounter that ended 2-2, with plenty of drama as Jonjo Shelvey, a former Liverpool player, got involved in the four goals scored yesterday night.
Shelvey opened the goal account of the night for the host, Swansea, when he ploughed his way through the Liverpool defence and fired past Simon Mignolet from close-range. But the goalscoring star soon went from hero to zero, as he allowed Daniel Sturridge to level proceedings 60 seconds later from a casual back-pass which he played to Swansea goalkeeper, Michel Vorm, as the England forward pounced to bag his fourth goal in four Premier League Games.
However, Moses put the visitors ahead in the 36th minute of the encounter, when he intercepted another poor pass from Shelvey and raced forward before unleashing a powerful shot that beats Vom hands down, but in the 64th minute, Shelvey set up Michu, who scored the equalizer for the Welsh side.
The match finished 2-2 as Moses was substituted in the 80th minutes for Rahim Sterlin amid cheers from Liverpool fans.
