Senate Approves Eight Ambassadors for Nigeria

The Nigeria Senate has approved list of eight persons as career and non-career ambassadors as requested by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the nominees were thoroughly screened by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs chaired by Senator Matthew Nwaogu.

The list include O.F Mouh (Imo), T.J Chinwuba- Akabogu( Anambra),  Adamu Emozozo (Edo) A. Echi ( Benue) G.M. Quist- Adebiyi, M Dauda (Borno) Hakeem O. Sulaiman (Ogun) and Dr Bolere Ketubu( Bayelsa) as the only non-career appointee for confirmation.

However, immediately the eight were confirmed, the President also sent another list requesting the confirmation of S.U Ahmed, a career diplomat from Gombe State, as an ambassador, couple with two additional names as members of the Federal Civil Service Commission, and the name of M.Bukar, to be confirmed as the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Teritory.
