Colorado Floods
As a result of massive floods in Colorado, United States of America, at least 8 people have been reported to have died while over 600 people remain unaccounted for, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.
Rescue efforts continued with local, state and federal responders attempting to reach people stranded by the rising water, as close to 20 helicopters were seen picking up people and dropping supplies for those in need of any.
Authorities say at least 1,600 homes were destroyed and more than 17,000 others have been damaged.
According to Local news outlets, more than 50 bridges linking rural communities have been destroyed or damaged, along with hundreds of miles of roads.
President Barack Obama has declared Colorado a major disaster zone and ordered federal help to boost state and local recovery efforts.
