Zamfara State Police command reported to have arrested a 26-year old student of Health and Technology Tsafe, Ukasshatu Bello for abducting, impregnating and killing his 17-year old girlfriend, Bela’u Ibrahim.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered this from the statement of the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP, Lawal Abdullahi who also disclosed that the command immediately swung into action having received the information.

According to him, the suspect has been arrested and the dead body of the girl was later deposited at the Federal Medical Center, Gusau for post-mortem examination.

The police spokesperson affirmed further that the suspect confessed that he abducted his girlfriend from her family house in Samaru area, Gusau and took her to his room which is unknown to her family.

He revealed that the suspect had also admitted that he has been having sexual relationship with her for more than two years before she eventually became pregnant for him.

The PPRO declared however that the suspect also confessed to have decided to take her to a nearby patent medicine store, where he collected some injections and tablets and wrongly administered them on her in order to abort the pregnancy.
