In line with the transformation agenda of the present Inspector General of Police  MD Abubakar, CFR, NPM, mni, has  taken a new step in his effort to  upgrading the welfare  of officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force by approving  the distribution of new sets of uniforms to all Commands and Formations nationwide. The distribution which is ongoing at the Police Central Store, Ikeja, Lagos State, the Force Public Relation department said this is in line with the promise of the IGP to make the new uniforms and accoutrements available to all ranks.

The issuance of the new uniforms and accoutrements which is a continuous exercise would not in any way attract any form of deduction from the salaries of officers and men or extra charges. All uniforms and accoutrements are issued free of charge to all Inspectors and members of the Rank-and-File while Senior Police Officers (SPOs) are to buy theirs at subsidized prices at Officers’ Store in line with the relevant Regulations of the Force.

IGP has further directed all Command CPs/Formation Commanders and Officers in Charge of Command Stores to ensure a stress free and even distribution of the uniforms and accoutrements without delay.
