Confusion erupted yesterday at the Kogi State House of Assembly, as the speaker, Alhaji Momoh Jimoh Lawal hurriedly adjourned the sitting of the house and hurriedly left the arena with the mace to avert being impeached by alleged “New PDP” members.

It was gathered that the house convered and was debating a motion on the state of education in the confluence state, but proceedings was brought to a sudden end when the Speaker received an information that 14 out of the 25 honourable members of the house are meeting at a separate room with plans to move a motion for his impeachment.

The Speaker grabbed the mace from the table, and dashed out of the complex with the assistance of his police escorts.
