DEPUTY SPEAKER, NIGERIA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, CHIEF EMEKA IHEDIOHA
The Mbaise people of Imo State have called on the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha to prepare to contest for the governorship election in 2015 without further delay.
CEOAFRICA new desk gathered that this call was made by prominent politicians of Mbaise town during a solidarity visit to the Deputy Speaker at his home town, Mbutu in the Aboh Mbaise.
The convoy at the visit acclaimed that Ihedioha with a lofty profile and dignified pedigree fit best among candidates vying for the Imo State number one office to move the State forward.
Among the delegation named in the visit were prominent politicians, professionals and community leaders from Aboh, Ahiazu, and Ezinihitte LGAs of Mbaise town such as Dr. Gerald Ukoha, former Member of the House of Representatives and former Chairman of Ezinihitte LGA; Hon. Chudi Uwazurike, representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives; Hon. Ngozi Pat-Ekeji, representing Aboh Mbaise State Constituency and Minority Leader in Imo State House of Assembly; Hon. Obioma Ekennia, representing Ezinihitte in Imo State House of Assembly, Dr. Paddy Njoku, Chairman, Governing Board of NECO among others.
Dr. Joe Ndu- a former Commissioner in the National Population Commission (NPC), who spoke the minds of the people said that as a governor, Ihedioha would provide a change in the style of leadership which would be well focused and characterised by a distinctive sense of purpose and direction.
