Some commercial banks in the Federal Capital Teritory now experience huge traffic as many bank users approach the banks to register for the Bank Verification Number exercise, resulting in long queues in banks as the month of June is gradually coming to a close.

CEOAfrica reporter also gathered that some of them that had registered earlier are just coming to the bank to get their numbers.

The Central Bank of Nigeria introduced the measure to ensure efficieny and protect bank customers from frauds. The central banker had stated that the exercise would last till June 2015 and most of the commercial banks had been sending notifications to customers on it.
