CEOAFRICA sports desk gathered that Nigeria’s Senate President, David Mark has called senators to embark on a 9-day-novena to pray for the Super Eagles 2014 World Cup qualification.

Senator David Mark, who was in South Africa when the Super Eagles won the 2013 African Cup of Nations, told his colleagues at the resumed plenary session of the Senate yesterday, that all prayer warriors and all men of goodwill should pray for Eagles because Nigeria cannot afford to miss the forthcoming mundia in Brazil.

“I urge my colleagues to commence Novena prayers because we must participate in 2014 World Cup in Brazil come 2014.” He said.

He stressed that the Senate, and indeed the National Assembly, would do the necessary things to ensure the success of the Super Eagles, as he urged the players and coaching crew to mix hard work with prayer so as to succeed.
