
Kwara Govt to Establish Textile company to Generate Employment

Kwara State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has disclosed that the government will soon establish a textile company in the State to reduce unemployment among the youths.
The Governor made the disclosure on Thursday during his first media interaction after his re-election on a radio programme tagged ‘Governor Explains’
Olowo in Ilorin within the next six month. This textile industry can employ a minimum of 15,000 workers directly”
The Governor emphasised that “as a state and as a government, we look at the composition of Kwara and recognised that we have a plethora of unemployed youths.
“We decided to act fast and seize every available opportunity to prevent it from further degenerating. I’m glad to note that today, from available statistics nationwide, Kwara State has the least of unemployed youth,". he added.
