According to reports from Kenya, unknown assailants set off explosions in the town of Wajir yesterday night.
CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the attackers opened fire while driving past a church, injuring three victims, then dropped suspected grenades.
A local police chief, according to sources, confirmed the attack saying officers are in control of the situation and are trying to hunt down the gunmen.
Wajir is located about 500 kilometers northeast of Nairobi, near the Kenyan-Somali border.
The attack comes four days after the Somali militant group al-Shabab attacked a Nairobi shopping mall, killing more than 65 people.
President Uhuru Kenyatta declared three days of national mourning in honour of those that lost their lives in the Westgate terrorist attack.
