SCHOOL BUILDING COLLAPSES IN ABUJA, INJURED 8 STUDENTS

Mishap at a Government Secondary School (GSS) Nyanya Abuja, as a part of the balcony of the school building collapse on Friday, wrecking injury on some of the students.

CEOAFRICA new desk gathered from the report of an eye witness that about eight students sustained various degrees of injury in the mishap.

The eye witness further disclosed that the injured students were taken to Maitama General Hospital where they were treated and discharged.

Meanwhile, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed has directed the Department of Development Control to carry out further investigation into the incident, to identify the cause.

The principal of the school, Mrs. Ngozi Ezeh, had disclosed that the students were leaning on the hand railing of the cantilevered canopy above the main entrance measuring 1.2x1.5m when it gave way.
