International actor of the Liberia Movie Union (LMU), Artus Frank is expected in Liberia on Thursday, August 26 to present two of his awards to the Government of Liberia.

Frank, who is pursuing his acting career in Ghana and Nigeria, won the two prestigious awards for his roles in "Face of Africa" and "Humanitarian Tribute".

He will make the presentation at a special press conference at the Ministry of Information on Friday, August 27, according to the vice president for administration of the Liberia Movie Union, Henry Johnson.

Speaking Tuesday at the Ministry of Information press conference, Johnson said as a Liberian, Frank deemed it necessary that these awards be presented to the Government of Liberia.

Johnson noted that the LMU, in partnership with MICAT and the Ministry of Gender, has organized the event for Frank when he arrives in the country Wednesday, adding "he will be received upon arrival by the membership of the LMU."

He extended thanks to the Vice President of Liberia, Joseph Boakai, for consenting to host a dinner on Wednesday in honor of Frank at a local entertainment center in Monrovia.

Johnson thanked all supporters, especially the UN Women and Champion Design, who, according to him, are sponsoring Frank's arrival program.

While in Liberia, Frank will on Thursday sign on to the "He for She Campaign" at the UN Women, and on Saturday, August 29, display his awards with a parade in the streets of Monrovia, among others.
