Tosin Oke, IAAF World Championship triple jump finalist, has the Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN), that he will pull out of next month’s All Africa Games in Congo if they fail to refund his flight ticket for last month’s All Nigeria Open Athletics Championships in Warri, Delta State.

The IAAF finalist was initially overlooked and not invited for the world championship after the AFN thought he was below par and could not measure up to the standard set by the IAAF for the championship.

Surprisingly, he bounced back with a season's personal best of 16.98m. Hence, his presence in Beijing.

The usual practice of the AFN is that they pay all athletes who make the team to major championships.

According to Completesportsnigeria.com, the AFN board jetissioned the rule of no trial, no selection that has been in force since the 1980s by including in the squad, athletes who failed to participate in the national trials.

It is to this end that Mr Oke is demanding a refund for the money with which he participated in the national trials.
