Ahead of this weekend's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Tanzania coach, Charles Boniface Nkwassa has charged football fans in the country to rally behind the team to ensure they win the crucial tie.

The Taifa Stars lost their opening game in the qualifying series, 3-0 to former Champions, Pharaohs of Egypt and must beat Nigeria to get their campaign back on track.

Hence, the Tanzania coach, Nkwassa has called on the supporters to come out in large numbers to give total support to the team.

"My players are responding well to training and it's my belief that nothing is impossible," The Tanzania coach told the Daily News.

"The home win will be very important for us because we need to keep our hopes alive.

"So, it's important for the fans to come out in large numbers and  give their support to the team."

Tanzania have not qualified for the AFCON in 35 years and are hoping to spring a surprise against 3 time champions, Nigeria to break that jinx.
