Nasarawa Amazon, the Nasarawa State Female Football team, has been offered a donation sum of N40 million by the State Governor, Umaru Tanko Almakura yesterday.
CEOAFRICA news desk gathered according to the report that N30 million out of the N40 million would be used to offset players’ sign-on fees.
The donation was announced by Almakura in Government House, Lafia, during the celebrations which mark the 53rd independent anniversary where he also presented the players with the silver medals they won at the just concluded Female Federation Cup competition in Lagos.
He however pledged his administration support of the team while recounting that the Nasarawa Amazon Football Club won Silver in the 2013 Nigeria Federation Cup just as the Nasarawa United is currently in position fourteen (14) of the National Football League.
