
Egyptian Woman Tops World Squash Ranking

Egyptian professional squash player, Raneem al-Welily was ranked as the top female player by the Professional Squash Association on Tuesday, becoming the first one in Egypt to acquire this lofty position.
Welily, 26, held the second ranking for eight months and reached the top world ranking after winning three championships.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to have become the new World No.1," Welily said following her new ranking, according to the Squash Association.
Also in the list are three other Egyptian men and women who are also among the top 10.
Before Welily, Malaysian Nicol Ann David kept herself at top of the sport for 9 years.
