WHO declears Liberia free of Ebola

Liberia recently ravaged by Ebola, has been announced free of the virus by the World Health Organization (WHO), on Thursday.

This occurred 42 days after the last confirmed case passed their second negative test.

According to the United Nations health agency, in a statement, “WHO declares Liberia free of Ebola virus transmission in the human population.”

It will be recalled that WHO had previously declared Liberia Ebola-free in May, but the deadly virus resurfaced six weeks later.
