Pius Mayanja a.k.a Pallaso
Ugandan sensation; Pius Mayanja, aka Pallaso, is set to launch his maiden album, Twatoba, this Saturday at Freedom City mall, Entebbe road.
The artiste says he has been waiting for this moment all his life.
“See, being a brother to Chameleone and Weasel, the singer has always been in their shadow. He started out calling himself Pius Lizard, then left for USA, but had to return home when the going got tough”. He said.
He teamed up with the Goodlfye doing Amaaso that buzzed the airwaves. However, he fell out with the duo over various girl-related issues.
He then teamed up with music promoter Jeff Kiwanuka, and alongside Sheebah, created Team No Sleep (TNS). The group was the talk of town last year, though for more bad reasons than good. Unfortunately, catfights broke them up as well, and now the singer is running solo and believes it is helping him focus on his career.
Pallaso is even more excited because the concert falls on the day he and his mother celebrate their birthdays.
"I have a mega cake to cut with her, which we will serve to the fans," says Pallaso.
The singer will also use the concert to unveil his latest video, On Fire.
"From Amaaso, Mudongo, Go Down Low, Twatoba, Bring It On, Omugongo, Tamale, to Tonjagala, my fans are in for a treat," he promises.
Entrance to the show is Shs 10,000 and VIP Shs 30,000.
