The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of two Commissioners of Police, Danladi Mshielbwala and Ibrahim Idris, to the rank of Assistant Inspectors-General of Police.

The Commission also reviewed CP Zakari Biu’s appeal against his dismissal, exonerating him and retiring him statutorily.

A statement by the PSC spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani on Friday in Abuja, said the 13th plenary meeting of the commission, presided over by the Chairman, Chief Mike  Okiro, exonerated Biu from the issues surrounding the escape of Kabiru Sokoto, an arrested Boko Haram kingpin in Abuja.
