
The first 100 days of the Kwara State Governor, has been seen amidst various criticism, financial turbulence and serious necessity for extra revenue to run the government of the day.
In the first 100 days, the Kwara State Government has borrowed a substantial amount of Five billion naira to augment the payment of the Kwara Ctate civil servant and the local government teachers within the state.
CEOAFRICA’s correspondent in Ilorin interviewed Kwarans on the second hundred days of Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed in the state capital of Ilorin.
According to various Kwarans, who spoke to CEOAFRICA about the first 100 days of the Kwara State Government.
Some believed that the state is in the right part while other believes the government is partial in sharing of the state dividends.
According to Mr Abubakar, an acclaimed card carrying member of the all progressive member stated that Alhaji Ahmed has always proved to be a governor of the people.
He said in the first hundred days, the governor had made steps to improve the state revenue through a sustainable program.
Another person who threw his vote behind the state government was Mrs Aremu, a business woman.
According to her, the State Government has tried it best in terms of internal generated revenue and the increase in power supply.
While an ace- broadcaster within Ilorin Mr Funmi stated that the government is on the part to sustainable growth with his plan to generate revenue through the various programs like the Harmony express, shonga farm and the Fadma project.
The broadcaster also appraised the government for its enormous effort towards the construction of general hospitals and human capital project he promised at the beginning of his administration.
Mrs Bobajoko, a local government teacher in Ilorin said that the inability of the state to pay the wages and salaries has negatively dampens the hopes of any progressive development by the state government.
Another teacher in Ilorin, who deosnt want his name in print did accuse the government of not doing anything in the last hundred days and thereby diverting the money meant to pay local government workers and teachers salaries to other projects.
While Mrs Daniel, a business woman said the government has failed in his appointment she further stated that the government has not made any meaningful appointment that kwarans are waiting.
According to Miss Bukky a Kwaran and a kwarapoly student, the government has not fulfilled any of the promises they made during the commencement of it second term administration.
She further said that The Kwara State Government did promise it citizens of human capital project in the commencement of it second term administration.
