The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), has said that all candidates seeking admission into the University will be given an equal opportunity, noting that Unilorin’s admission process is based on merit.

Ambali stated this when he received the members of the Central Executive Council of the University Students’ Union in his office explaining that the number of candidates seeking admission into the University is on the high side. He says this is creating a huge pressure on the university’s system.

CEOAFRICA's correspondent, reports that the vice chancellor, while charging students of the institution to be well-behaved, pointed out that the University is raising top class graduates that are tuned to the frequency Nigeria needs.

Earlier in his address, the President of the Students’ Union, Comrade Alao Idris Ibrahim, pledged the students union’s commitment to redouble its support for the management of the University in the new academic session.
