Amidst the quiet that has pervaded the palace of Warri monarch, His Majesty, Atuwatse 11, since his reported death on Saturday, the palace chiefs are still undecided on what to tell the public.

A press briefing scheduled by the palace chiefs on Tuesday was called off after over twenty journalists had waited for hours for the event to take off.

There were reports, however, from reliable sources, that series of meetings were being held with the appropriate ruling houses to determine what comes next before a public statement would be issued by the palace.

CEOAfrica source gathered that for there to be a proper and befitting ceremony certain vacant chieftaincy positions must be filled by some persons, and that even the succession process had to be followed to avoid mistakes of the past.

In Warri, a document purported to provide the proper succession system to the throne as approved by the erstwhile Bendel State Government is now in circulation, and it states who can become the rightful successor to the throne.

The palace gates have remained shut to all persons in the meantime, just as regular church activities have been moved to the Foursquare Convocation Centre, opposite the palace.
