Despite yesterday’s crash of the plane conveying the remains of late former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, the family have decided to go ahead with the burial arrangements as planned.

Disclosing this on behalf of the Agagus, Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Ebenezer Alabi said the remains of Agagu will be buried today.

“We just consulted with the family and have decided to go ahead with the burial.

“More so, the son of the former governor survived and the son-in-law survived. There was no scratch on the casket.

“So while the family sympathised with those that lost their lives and their loved ones, they have decided to go ahead with the burial as was initially planned,” he said.

It was also gathered by CEOAFRICA.com that the family of Agagu in Iju-Odo had ordered that his remains should be conveyed to his home town and final place of rest.

The wife of late former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, and her two daughters have relocated to Iju-Odo in Okitipupa Local Government Area for his burial.

The burial will now be done without the usual pomp and pageantry.
