Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko
Report says Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, wept uncontrollably when he received the news about yesterday’s plane crash conveying the remains of late former governor, Dr. Olusegun Agagu.
The governor, who was at the Akure airport with other members of Agagu’s family, received the news with shock and couldn’t hold back his tears in the public.
One of those involved were the Culture and Tourism Commissioner, Deji Falae who led the Ondo State government crew to accompany the corpse from Lagos State.
Mimiko, who clocked 59 yesterday, betrayed emotion when his Chirf of Staff, Dr. Kola Ademujimi briefed him and other government officials at the Akure airport. He burst into tears as security personnel shielded him into the official car.
The governor couldn’t attend to visitors as he stayed indoor all through.
It was also gathered that the wife of the deceased and her daughter, who were at the Akure airport waiting to receive the corpse of the former governor, were shielded away by family members and moved to a family friend’s house in Akure, where doctors attended to them.
