A medical practitioner who is also a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Taiwo Malumi,has been elected leader of Ondo South Senatorial District at a recently concluded meeting of the APC leadership in the senatorial zone. Prior to the meeting, a number of the party’s leaders had expressed interest in the position, but all of them reached a consensus to support Dr. Malumi.

The election of Dr. Malumi according to the party was a well-deserved one in view of his “transparency, excellent leadership and selfless service to the community and the nation at large.” Speaking after his election, Malumi said, “The people should continue to expect good governance from the All Progressives Congress.
