
Spokesperson of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State; Imam Imam, has confirmed the administration’s decision to provide land at the border town of Illela local government for the establishment China Town in the state.
The proposed China Town would help boost trade and investment not only in the state across the Northern reion and Sub Saharan Africa by extension.
Tambuwal, who spoke when Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Gu Xiaojie paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Sokoto, also expressed their decision to partner with the People's Republic of China to help boost investments in the state.
According to the governor, areas of collaboration shall include, agriculture, commerce, establish mining and agro-allied industries in the state among others.
"In that regard, Sokoto government will provide land for the establishment of 'China Town' in the border-town of Illela to boost trade and investment in the West Africa.
