A political movement in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital 'Maja Elders Forum' (MEF), has called for a prompt intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari in the ordeal of Senate President, Bukola Saraki in the hands of some anti-graft agencies in Nigeria.

The MEF in a statement issued yesterday in Ilorin and signed by its coordinator, Alhaji Kayode Yusuf, described the development as witch-hunting targeted at Saraki since his emergence as the Senate President.

While noting that they are not opposing the anti-corruption crusades of President Buhari, the forum however wondered why the search-light is beamed only on Senator Bukola Saraki and his family by the anti-graft agencies.

The MEF therefore appealed to the Northern Union (NU) and Middle Belt Forum (MBF) to intervene in the persecution of the former Kwara State Governor and his family.
