Kebbi State Governor, Saidu Usman Dakingari
CEOAFRICA.com gathered that a plane crash was averted when a Saudi Arabia bound Kabo Airline aircraft with over 400 intending pilgrims made an emergency landing at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport in Sokoto State on Friday night.
It was revealed that one of the tyres of the plane burst shortly after landing, but all the passengers on board the craft with registration number 5N-JRM, from Kano to Saudi Arabia, were safely evacuated.
Sources disclosed that Governor Saidu Dakingari of Kebbi State, his wife, Zainab and other 48 intending pilgrims were in the plane. However, the governor and his wife had since returned to Birnin Kebbi after the incident.
