AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNOR, GODSWILL AKPABIO
Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has sacked three of his Commissioners and one special Adviser from the State Executive Council on Monday.
CEOAFRICA news desk gathered from the statement of the state Commissioner for Information, Aniekan Umanah, that the State Government has affected a minor cabinet reshuffle in the State Executive Council and that the sacked commissioners and the Special adviser were dropped to enable them pursue their political ambitions.
Among the list of people sacked were Sunday Ayang, Commissioner for Economic Development; Austin Mbeh, Commissioner for Transport; Martyns Udoinyang, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and Sam Frank, Special Adviser on Youth and Sports.
However, it would be recalled that governor Akpabio has during the earlier reshuffle in June this year, announced that appointees who have political ambitions should resign or be sacked.
